Sylvia is an investor at Techstars and is based in San Francisco.

Sylvia runs the sourcing and investment process for identifying and selecting prospective early-stage startups companies to join the Techstars accelerator program. She focuses primarily on pre-seed and seed enterprise SaaS and FinTech startups and is responsible for investing in 24 companies a year.a

Additionally, she works with portfolio companies in program to advise on financial modeling, GTM, fundraising goals, pricing/revenue strategy, hiring plans and more.

Before joining Techstars, Sylvia was a Principal at a family office in NYC directly investing into early stage startups and closed 8 deals across healthcare, FinTech and consumer. She started her career as a FinTech founder, and built a company in the wealth management and impact investing space.

She has tremendous empathy for founders and a deep understanding of software and tech architecture. Sylvia's mission is to invest in a world she wants to live in, and believes in the power of technology to make human lives better and create a positive impact for society at large.
