Emmanouil (Manos) Koukoumidis is the CEO and Co-Founder of Oumi, whose Agentic AI Engineering platform enables enterprises to build, deploy, and continuously improve domain-specialized AI models they own. Previously, Manos led Google Cloud's Generative AI team responsible for the work that became Gemini before its transition to Google DeepMind. Earlier, he led AI initiatives at Meta and Microsoft, including the development of conversational AI. He holds a Ph.D. from Princeton University, where he pioneered early work in hybrid (cloud & edge) AI. His research has received more than 12,000 citations, and he has held research positions at MIT, Microsoft Research, SMART (Singapore), and CERN.
