Stavros Vassos is an AI expert with more than 20 years of experience across academia, research, and the AI industry. He is the Co-Founder of Helvia, a fast-growing scale-up that helps enterprises transform how they work through AI Agents. Helvia’s AI Agents are highly specialized, designed to improve customer experience, empower employees, and streamline business operations. Stavros holds an MSc and PhD from the University of Toronto, where his research focused on Artificial Intelligence and Cognitive Agents with planning and reasoning capabilities. Before founding Helvia, he served as a professor at Sapienza University of Rome, contributing to research in natural language understanding and Intelligent systems. With a strong background in both research and product innovation, Stavros is passionate about bridging the gap between cutting-edge AI and real-world applications.
