Dimitrios Georgiou

Dimitrios is a Senior Consultant at Deloitte in the Strategy, Analytics and M&A with a focus on the Travel, Hospitality and Leisure (THL) sector. Furthermore, he serves on the Board of Directors of the Onassis Scholars' Association.

His previous roles include positions at organizations such as the European Central Bank and the Greek National Tourism Organization. Over recent years, Dimitrios has contributed to more than 25 projects, ranging from UN World Tourism Organisation research to shaping sustainable tourism strategies. His initiatives include founding Dishcover, a food tourism start-up featured in Forbes 30 Under 30 Greece, and launching Mangata Seaside, a mission-driven boutique hotel.

Dimitrios stands out for his multidisciplinary approach, combining finance, tourism, culture and technology. His interests focus on utilizing cutting-edge technology and innovative governance/funding models to enhance the unique attributes of locations for greater societal impact and resilience. His work has been recognized through honors, such as his selection as a delegate for the World Bank Group Youth Summit (2023) and his distinction as a finalist in the UK Study Alumni Awards (2024).

Dimitrios holds a BA in Accounting and Finance from the Athens University of Business and Economics (valedictorian) and an MPhil in Finance from the University of Cambridge.
